UPDATED: RESOURCE FOR VETERANS IN THE WORKFORCE​

​In the wake of recent federal cuts to Veterans programs, many states are stepping up to make sure Vets will still have access to info and updates on their benefits and services. The Pennsylvania Department of Labor has created the one below. If you are an Ohio or West Virginia resident, please see additional info below:

LIFE CHANGING SERVICE DOGS FOR VETERANS

Our Veterans of Steel program is always on the lookout for new resources to benefit Veterans, and "Life Changing Service Dogs For Veterans" definitely fits the bill! This non-profit pairs medically trained service dogs with Vets in need. We will be exploring how we can help this organization and will post updates on this page, so please bookmark and check back for more. Congratulations to our local's Vice President and Veterans of Steel Chair, Russ Sabol (of Alex Paris) on recently being named a Co-Coordinator of USW District 10's Veterans of Steel. Russ is serving in this role alongside Co-Coordinator, Dan Olweiler. We wish them both luck and are eager to see how they advance this program in raising awareness and involvement to support our Vets.
